History

A bus always left Perth back in the day, leaving from the old Playpen corner in the town. There was a need for stability and the supporters club was founded in 1986 by local fan Lyndsay Law to get supporters to travel to games as a group. Buses left from the Moncrieffe Hotel in the early days before moving to the Railway Tavern, unofficially to “Spinkie’s“, then on to the Saints Club, before the Wee Sporty, and on to the present day meeting place of the Malt House.

Lyndsay passed on the running of the Club to Alan Melloy and others. Other original members still travel on the bus, including Bryan McColl, Les Oliphant, Graeme Parker, and Jimmy Miller. The past few years have put the club and others to a test which they have overcome with pride and we still Follow on. Officially registered with Rangers FC as a category A supporters club, PTB has clocked up an impressive history of trips home and abroad. As an old favourite song says “Dundee, Hamilton…” or was that Barcelona, Real Madrid??
